No pitcher in the Pacific Coast League threw better in September, garnering him the Pitcher of the Month award today. In 6 starts Fernández compiled a 3.10 ERA, putting up a 5-1 record, striking out 26 and tossing 40.2 innings. In 31 starts this season Fernández has notched a 14-7 record and a 4.84 ERA. |
