Derek Simpson Out 4-5 Months Wednesday, October 1st, 2036 Derek Simpson is doubtful to make the playoffs this year, according to sources within the Santa Monica organization. Although the injury was initially thought to be not serious, tests have revealed the player will be out up to 4-5 months with shoulder inflammation. The 36-year-old starting pitcher suffered the injury throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Mile High Broncos. This season Simpson has worked 170.2 innings with 128 strikeouts en route to a 10-7 record and a 4.59 ERA. |
