2036 was a year to remember for Scott King.

The Santa Monica Bruins reliever was the owner of a 3.35 ERA this season over 113 innings of work. He made 62 relief appearances and had 5 saves, 118 strikeouts, 37 walks and a record of 7 wins and 3 losses.

He's also now got some hardware, as the 30-year-old has been named the Pacific Coast League Reliever of the Year Award winner.

"It's something I can tell my grandchildren some day, pretty special," he said.

He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 14. Enrique Ortíz of the Mexico City Cerveceros finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Halewijn Tipping of the Santa Monica Bruins finished third with 3 first place votes.
