Félix Chávez Hurt, Out for Year
Wednesday, June 23rd, 2038
Death Valley center fielder Félix Chávez could miss the remainder of the season because of a broken kneecap. He exited yesterday's Waco game after injuring himself while running the bases. The original diagnosis said Chávez would be out 4-5 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

In his season totals Chávez has 5 home runs and a .207 batting average.
