Week's Top Player: San Antonio's Allen Monday, May 27th, 2041 20-year-old Travis Allen made a few San Antonio headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Continental League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 26 at-bats to put up a .462 average. Allen collected 6 home runs, 13 RBIs and scored 11 runs. This year Allen has hit at a .335 clip with 65 hits, 15 home runs, 40 RBIs and 56 runs scored. |
