Friday, June 3rd, 2039
José Palma was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 20-12 Joplin Miners triumph at Wrangler Field today.

The 24-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Miners past the Wichita Wranglers.

"One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Palma told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate."

The first baseman went 4-for-4, rung up 4 RBIs and scored 5 runs on his record-setting day.

José Palma hit a solo-shot off José Moreno in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Vic Burton in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Hoyt Sullivan in the 8th.

Palma is swinging at a .270 pace on the year with 12 home runs, 33 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has played in 52 games.
