3-HR Day for García Thursday, May 13th , 2055 José García showed off his power as he launched three balls into the seats against the Tucson Toros and sparked the Diablos to a win, 7-2. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I have always liked to hit at Pecan Pit." For the day, García collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 3 RBIs. "He was instant offense today," Santa Fe skipper José Morán said. "José really put on a show." José García hit a solo-shot off Roger Johnson in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Roger Johnson in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Rob Garrison in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. So far on the season, García is hitting .277 with 25 home runs, 37 RBIs and 40 runs scored. He has 44 hits and played in 38 games. |
