5-Hit Game for Mayberry Sunday, May 31st , 2054 Peter Mayberry exploded for a barrage of base hits at Memorial Park. The Everett first baseman had a field day in his team's 12-6 triumph over the Reno Silver Sox, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Mayberry must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Peter Mayberry hit a solo-shot off Adrián López in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
