Flamingos Pat Parkinson Will Miss Season Wednesday, August 3rd , 2050 When Pat Parkinson was hurt against the Everett Chargers, the Ft. Lauderdale Flamingos were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 25-year-old reliever suffered radial nerve compression throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Parkinson would miss 5-6 months of the season. This season Parkinson has been credited with no saves. In 21 relief appearances and 34.2 innings he has a 3-3 won-lost mark, a 5.45 ERA and 46 strikeouts. |
