Waddell Sensational, 5-for-6 Tuesday, July 17th, 2040 Al Waddell was sizzling at the plate today. In a game played at Menlo Park, the Buffalo right fielder blistered the Menlo Maniacs for 5 hits in 6 at-bats to pace his club to a 23-3 victory. "Waddell was too tough to get out today," Maniacs skipper Greg O'Day said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Al Waddell hit a two-run home run off Freddy Pérez in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Evan Johnson in the 7th, walked in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
