Rio Grande third baseman José Pantoja thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Rio Grande to a 14-11 win over Oakland. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Pantoja said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Pantoja was 3-for-5 on the day with 7 RBI. José Pantoja hit a solo-shot off Paul Terry in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Paul Terry in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Carlos Marín in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. Presently Pantoja is batting .304 and has collected 10 home runs, 53 RBIs, .381 OBP and scored 32 runs. |
