Hit Parade: Adams Gets Cycle Thursday, July 21st, 2039 Getting 4 hits is a good day by any measure, but when those include a single, double, triple and a home run -- that's something special. Artie Adams's day was a special one. The third baseman hit for the cycle to spark the Everett Chargers to a 7-4 victory over the Rio Grande Rattlesnake at Memorial Park today. Everett manager Bill Fowler said he thought the whole lineup looked good in batting practice, but had not been expecting anything extraordinary from Adams in particular. "Artie caught me by surprise today," he said. "He looked good before the game, but man, he looked unbelievable during it." For the day, Adams finished with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored to go with his 4 hits. Artie Adams hit a solo-shot off Vincente Solís in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
