Rehab Road Tough for Cornhuskers Johnny Whitley Tuesday, July 18th , 2051 Johnny Whitley was taking it slow and easy nursing a strained triceps back to good health, when he suffered a setback. According to a Lincoln team official, "Johnny was making excellent progress and it appeared he would return to the squad ahead of schedule. But then he reinjured it in a light workout." Club doctors now say the 20-year-old Cornhuskers starting pitcher will be out at least another 2 weeks. In season stats Whitley shows a 5-4 record in 12 games, 73 innings, 71 strikeouts and a 4.32 ERA. |
