Hendrix Socks It to Bismark 3 Times
Friday, June 26th , 2054
Every now and then, everything just comes together.
Scotty Hendrix discovered that today at Pecan Pit, as he smashed three home runs during the 25-1 Santa Fe Diablos win over the Bismark Border Guards.
"I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Santa Fe first baseman said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it."
Hendrix, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2053 draft, finished the day with 4 hits in 5 at-bats and 8 RBIs.
Scotty Hendrix flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Gregory King in the 4th, hit a sac fly in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Mike Westfall in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Chris White in the 8th.
