Aguilar Bashes 5 Base Hits Friday, June 26th , 2054 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for José Aguilar -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Pecan Pit and paced the 25-1 Diablos win over the Bismark Border Guards. After his dynamite batting performance, the Santa Fe center fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. José Aguilar struck out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
