NWL (28 & Under) Honors Yokima First Baseman Monday, August 20th, 2035 So far in his young career, Tony Martínez has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Northwest League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 23-year-old Yokima Yogis first baseman hit at a torrid .500 clip as he collected 13 hits in 26 at-bats, 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and 5 runs scored. Martínez is presently batting .346 with 6 home runs, 26 runs scored and 22 RBIs. His OBP is .442. |
