Gainesville center fielder Júlio García thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Gainesville to a 19-1 win over Wilmington. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," García said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." García was 3-for-5 on the day with 7 RBI. Júlio García hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Rivera in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jim Rivera in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Marlon Meister in the 5th, was hit by a pitch in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. For the year García is batting .245 with 17 home runs, 48 RBIs and 36 runs scored. |
