Skinner Goes Deep 3 Times
Friday, June 25th , 2055
Three home runs usually equal a win, but not today at Newark Recreational Ballpark. The Newark Bulldogs beat the odds and also beat Dan Skinner and the Wilmington Rebels, 9-8.
The hot-hitting Skinner had an historic day at the plate with three home runs, 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored, but no victory.
"This game is special for me. It's an individual accomplishment," he said. "As a team we didn't have a good day, but the three homers make it better."
Dan Skinner hit a solo-shot off Mark Zimmerman in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Mark Zimmerman in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Micheal Burnell in the 9th.
Skinner is currently batting .259 with 11 home runs, 17 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has 29 hits in 112 at-bats.
