Acosta Keeps Hit Streak Alive Sunday, August 13th , 2051 Jesús Acosta has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Delano left fielder picked up 3 more today against the Bristol Golden Retrievers and now has a 20-game hitting streak. The Tigers won the game 9-2. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Jesús Acosta flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jesús Gómez in the 4th, singled in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. Thus far this season Acosta has hit .315 with 30 home runs, 81 RBIs and scored 81 times. |
