Butler's Morris NL Star of the Week Monday, August 14th , 2051 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the National League, but last week Jeff Morris of the Butler White Sox reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Morris rocked opposing pitching for a .484 average (15-for-31), 3 home runs and 8 RBIs to come away with the award. Morris is hitting at a .346 mark this season. His stats show 23 home runs, 72 RBIs and 100 runs scored. He has played 117 games for the White Sox. |
