Chargers End Acosta's Streak Tuesday, August 15th , 2051 Jesús Acosta's sizzling hitting streak was snapped at 21 games today as the Delano Tigers dropped their contest with the Everett Chargers 10-3 at Memorial Park. Acosta failed to get a hit, finishing 0-for-4. After the game Acosta spoke with BNN and called his effort "quite a streak." "I just ran into some good pitching today," he said. In 121 games this season Acosta has batted at a .313 pace with 147 hits and 30 home runs. |
