Elibank Belts 5 Hits Saturday, August 26th , 2051 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Jack Elibank, it came around today. The 24-year-old second baseman scattered hits all over Mi Gusta Place to pace the Bismark Border Guards to a 13-1 victory over the Bismarck Black Mambas. Bismarck skipper Joe Emery told reporters in the press room that "Elibank deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Elibank hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Jack Elibank hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Clark Anderson in the 9th.
