Playoffs Won't Happen for Bulldogs Sunday, August 27th , 2051 The Newark Bulldogs may still need a piece or two before becoming championship material in 28 & Under's. The team has fallen short of its playoff goals this year, being officially eliminated from the playoffs today. "I feel like we have a great group," Bulldogs manager Ronald Cotton said. "We happened to come up short or our goal, though. We'll re-tool and be back stronger next season." The Bulldogs have missed the playoffs 11 times in their 13 years as a 28 & Under's franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 7th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2044. |
