Super Season, Gillespie Wins Outstanding Hitter Award
Thursday, October 5th , 2045
The manager of the Everett Chargers said he thinks Chris Gillespie is only going to get better as he gets older.
He may only be 21, but it will be hard to top the right fielder's 2045 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the National League Outstanding Hitter Award.
His winning campaign featured a .351 batting average and a .443 on-base percentage this year. In 97 games he piled up 128 hits, 29 doubles, no triples, 52 home runs, 106 RBIs and 113 runs scored.
He received 28 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Vince Peters of the Wilmington Rebels finished second in voting, while Joey Mason of the Ft. Lauderdale Flamingos finished third.
