Miners End Lambright Streak Thursday, July 23rd , 2054 It was a doubly miserable day for Mark Lambright of the Frisco Rough Riders, as he saw his 22-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 6-2, to the Glace Bay Miners at The Dome. The 22-year-old center fielder was held hitless in 2 at-bats by the Miners. "Anyone on a 22-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Glace Bay manager said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." So far this year, Lambright has hit .373 with 18 home runs, 85 RBIs and 74 runs scored. |
