Walker Tosses No-No Against Power
Sunday, September 3rd , 2051
The Minnesota North Stars were just hoping for a solid outing from Myles Walker. Instead, they got something special.
The 24-year-old hurler tossed a no-hitter against the West Virginia Power, helping the North Stars take the 3-0 win.
"I felt good throughout the game," he said after his spectacular outing for the North Stars. "As I was going into the ninth inning, I wasn't nervous. I knew I had a chance to do something special."
Walker's repertoire has a fastball, changeup, circle change, and slider, and he used it all to full advantage, keeping the West Virginia hitters off balance all game long. The Minnesota hurler fanned 6 and walked 1 in his history-making performance.
"His fastball looked about the size of a watermelon seed and it hissed at you as it passed," West Virginia manager Ángel Cortéz joked after the game.
This year Walker has compiled a 10-11 mark with a 5.44 ERA in 32 starts.
