Wood Spins No-Hitter Against Everett Sunday, September 3rd , 2051 There was magic on the mound today at Memorial Park as Ft. Lauderdale Flamingos starter Jake Wood no-hit the Everett Chargers. Wood held Everett hitters spellbound and helpless in a masterful display of pitching, leading the Flamingos to a 8-0 win. "It was like I was in a dream," Wood said afterward. "The ball just went right where I wanted it to." In his mound masterpiece, Wood rang up 8 strikeouts and issued 1 walk. On the season Wood has compiled a 4-5 mark with a 4.67 ERA in 20 starts.
