García Parks 3 HR in the Seats Tuesday, August 12th , 2053 Cipriano García of the Maniacs went on a hitting spree at Menlo Park and earned membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He blasted three into the stands in a loss, 8-6, to the Casper Ghosts. "I'm not happy with the outcome of the game, but it was still a great game for me," García said in the clubhouse following the loss. "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too." The Menlo left fielder did indeed have quite a game, collecting 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 4 RBIs and scoring 3 runs. Cipriano García flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jim McCloud in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jim McCloud in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Gonzalo Hernández in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. On the year, García has hit .360 with 10 home runs, 28 RBIs and scored 22 runs. |
