Virginia Beach Eliminated from Playoff Contention Thursday, August 20th , 2054 The Virginia Beach Marlins have spent much of the season on the outside looking in at the playoff race. They will be permanently on the outside now, after being officially eliminated from contention today. Virginia Beach last appeared in the postseason in 2047. This is their 7th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 14 times in their 16-year history.
