LightSabres Cruise to Round 2 with Sweep Saturday, September 9th , 2051 The Buffalo LightSabres outclassed the Butler White Sox in all facets of the game throughout the NL Round 1. The end result was a Buffalo series sweep to advance to the Round 2, capped off by a 8-2 win in the final game. "We're a bit surprised it's over in a sweep, to be honest with you," said first baseman Xavier Thorne, who hit .467 in the series. Thorne's standout effort garnered him MVP honors. He also put up a .500 on-base percentage and had 3 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Buffalo LightSabres don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Tucson Toros - Moose Jaw Ghostbusters series. That series is tied at 1 game each. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
