Jorge Campos Named NWL (28 & Under)'s Best Player Monday, October 26th, 2037 He may have less experience than most of his Northwest League peers, but that didn't slow Jorge Campos down at all in 2037. At the age of 22, the Yokima right fielder has been named the winner of the Northwest League Outstanding Hitter Award. He had a .341 batting average and a .456 on-base percentage this year. In 144 games he piled up 184 hits, 31 doubles, 20 triples, 29 home runs, 120 RBIs and 113 runs scored. "I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year." He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Dan Edwards of the Moose Jaw Ghostbusters finished second in voting, while Daniel Smith of the Bismarck Black Mambas finished third.
