Dan Black discovered that today at Clearwater Ballpark, as he smashed three home runs during the 12-3 Lincoln Cornhuskers win over the Menlo Maniacs. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Lincoln center fielder said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Black, who is tied for 8th in the CL in home runs with 38, finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 7 RBIs. Dan Black grounded out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Bob Hughes in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Dawson Jamison in the 5th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Dawson Jamison in the 6th. Black currently has a .289 batting average with 118 hits, 38 homers, 99 RBIs, 84 runs scored and a .352 OBP. |
