Chargers Heading to Round 2 Tuesday, September 7th , 2055 Thie Groen has led his Everett Chargers to a Round 1 victory. Everett's third baseman was named series MVP after playing an instrumental role in winning the series 4-2 and eliminating the Buffalo LightSabres. "See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "It's simple what I did this series." The club advanced to the Round 2 with a 4-3 triumph at Memorial Park in the deciding game. Groen was red hot in the series, which saw him put up a .300 average, as well as 5 home runs and 10 RBI. The Everett Chargers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Culver City Extras - Lincoln Cornhuskers series. Culver City leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
