Everett Chargers Take Round 2
Saturday, September 18th , 2055
The Everett Chargers were good enough to get past the Culver City Extras at Memorial Park today and secure the 4th championship in franchise history.
"When you wear Chargers on your shirt, you're good at something," Everett skipper Shane Hunter told the press.
Chargers first baseman Willie Roundtree was named MVP of the series after he went .462 with 2 home runs and 5 RBI.
"It feels totally incredible," Roundtree said. "I could live to 1,000 years old and I'd remember this moment."
The new champions capped off a great season with a 13-2 victory over the Extras to win the Round 2 4-3.
