Sunday, October 3rd , 2055
He may have less experience than most of his 28 & Under's peers, but that didn't slow Benton Beasley down at all in 2055.
At the age of 22, the Culver City right fielder has been named the winner of the Continental League Outstanding Hitter Award.
He had a .363 batting average and a .498 on-base percentage this year. In 128 games he piled up 160 hits, 36 doubles, 4 triples, 45 home runs, 133 RBIs and 136 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 26 first place votes out of a possible 28. Steve Hodges of the Bismarck Black Mambas finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Randall Petty of the Bismark Border Guards finished third.
