Toope Slams 5 Hits for Newark Tuesday, September 1st, 2037 Thanks to Ron Toope and his big bat, the Bulldogs derailed the Kingston Iguanas 5-4 today at Newark Recreational Ballpark. The Newark center fielder had a standout game with 5 hits in 6 at-bats. Ron Toope singled in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 11th and hit an RBI single in the 12th.
