Trevino Rocks Lakers for 3 HRs
Wednesday, May 31st , 2051
Aberdeen Scorpions first baseman Ánibal Trevino had a magnificent game against the Chisago Lakes Lakers today, rocketing three balls out of Gentry Field to help the Scorpions take the 9-8 victory.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, Trevino went 5-for-5 with 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Aberdeen manager Mike Petersen said later. "Seems like Ánibal found his home run stroke today."
Ánibal Trevino hit a solo-shot off Willie Lynch in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Steve Morrison in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Félix Alvarado in the 9th.
This season Trevino is batting .278 with 58 hits, 23 home runs, 42 RBIs, .361 OBP and has scored 53 runs.
