Evanston's Allen to Miss Season
Saturday, July 6th , 2047
Evanston starting pitcher Dan Allen could miss the remainder of the season because of a damaged elbow ligament. He exited yesterday's Midland game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Allen would be out 13-14 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

Allen has made 12 starts, tossed 54 innings, struck out 45 batters and walked 29. His record is 2-3 with a 6.67 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .280 batting average.
