APL (24 & Under) Awards Player of the Week Trophy Monday, July 2nd, 2035 Tom Hanson burst onto the Appalachian League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie first baseman for Scottsdale garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 22-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .529 (18-for-34) with 2 home runs and 8 RBIs last week. This season Hanson is batting .310 with 104 hits and 9 home runs. He has scored 52 times and has 55 runs batted in. |
