Player of the Week: Asheville's Abrams Monday, August 9th , 2049 Bill Abrams demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the National League Player of the Week Award. The Asheville third baseman wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .367 average (11-for-30) with 6 home runs and 14 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. This year Abrams is batting .293 with 124 hits, 36 home runs, 96 RBIs, 65 walks, .387 OBP and has scored 70 runs. |
