Arturo Torres Hurt, Will Miss Rest of Year Monday, June 30th, 2042 Arturo Torres of the Scorpions just might have to call it quits for the season. The 19-year-old Scottsdale reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the Long Beach Challengers recently at Gentry Field. Torres suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch. The Scorpions medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 13-14 months. Torres's record this season is 3-and-2 with 3 saves and a 4.64 ERA. He has given up 61 hits in 52.1 innings with 47 strikeouts. |
