Season May Be Over for Spartans Quintanilla
Thursday, August 25th, 2039
Spartanburg starting pitcher Javier Quintanilla could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn rotator cuff. He exited yesterday's Detroit game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Quintanilla would be out 9-10 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

In the current season in 12 starts, Javier Quintanilla has a record of 5-3 with 88 strikeouts in 69 innings and a 4.17 ERA.
