Ortíz Goes 5-for-7
Monday, May 2nd, 2039
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Iowa's 23-13 win over Louisville today, shortstop Tony Ortíz was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Jim Patterson Stadium.

"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Ortíz said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."

Tony Ortíz hit an RBI single in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Ray Quinlan in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.

This year Ortíz is batting .302 with 19 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 10 times and has batted in 9 runs.
