West Virginia Devastated by Playoff Elimination Wednesday, May 20th , 2043 The West Virginia Mountaineers players and coaches held a closed-door meeting today after the club was eliminated from postseason contention. "We just wanted to talk about the season and where we are right now and how we get to our ultimate goal," said a dejected Earl Gillenwater. "We don't want to have this feeling next season." The Mountaineers have missed the playoffs 33 times in their 37 years as a College Baseball franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 14th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2029. |
