Deringer Cracks 5 Hits Monday, April 7th, 2042 Tim Deringer said "it felt like taking batting practice" today at Bainton Field, and it showed in the box score. The Duke third baseman had a fantastic 5-for-6 day against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, leading his club to victory, 23-8. "I was seeing the ball very well and it was going just about anywhere I wanted," Deringer said later." Tim Deringer struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit a three-run double in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
