Sooners Polley Out Rest Of Season Thursday, May 3rd , 2046 Oklahoma center fielder Christian Polley could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn meniscus. He exited yesterday's Villanova game after injuring himself while making a defensive play. The original diagnosis said Polley would be out 4-5 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." For the year Polley is batting .243 with 27 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 18 times and driven in 18. |
