No Playoff Berth Coming for Michigan State Saturday, May 11th , 2047 It wasn't meant to be for the Michigan State Spartans this year. Despite a tough battle, they were eliminated from playoff contention today. "It is a bad feeling," said Spartans starting pitcher Vic Wilson. "Once you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. But you've gotta get in there first, and we weren't able to do that." The Spartans have missed the playoffs 34 times in their 41 years as a College Baseball franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 16th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2031. |
