Tar Heels Lose Turner for Season Thursday, May 16th , 2047 The doctors have spoken and James Turner of the North Carolina Tar Heels didn't like what he heard. The 17-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Turner sustained his season-ending injury during the Illinois Fighting Illini game yesterday at Bryson Field at Boshamer Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the North Carolina medical staff reported Turner had a torn meniscus and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. |
