Spikes Chill Davies's Hot Streak Sunday, April 25th, 2038 Frank Davies's 23-game hitting streak has now come and gone. It was snapped today as the Bishop Verot HS Mudcats suffered a 3-2 setback against the Montgomery HS Spikes. Davies went without a hit in 4 trips to the plate. He was visibly upset during a postgame press conference, but it appeared that the streak had little to do with it. "The hitting streak was one of those things where it was fun while it lasted, but I'm not going to lose any sleep about it tonight," he said. "On the other hand, I am going to lose sleep about dropping this game today." So far this season Davies is batting .376 with 4 home runs, 21 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has 41 hits in 109 at-bats, 15 walks and a .441 OBP. Davies has played in 27 games. |
