HSCL Outstanding Pitcher Award Goes to Thum Friday, June 18th, 2038 Fa-hsien Thum was the most outstanding pitcher in the High School CL this year and today was acclaimed the Outstanding Pitcher Award winner for his efforts. Thum had a marvelous season, going 7-0 with an impressive 1.49 ERA in 8 starts. He struck out 67 in 54.1 innings and limited opposing batters to a .158 batting average. He received 42 first place votes out of a possible 60. Rick Todd of the Randall HS Raiders finished second in voting with 11 first place votes, while Bill Riggs of the Oliver Ames HS Tigers finished third with 7 first place votes.
